Sustainability & Packaging
We try to follow a simple order: reduce, reuse, donate, recycle and only dispose as a last resort.
Reduced Plastic Packaging
We avoid plastic where possible. Plastic may still be used where we feel it is necessary, especially for fragile items such as glass. Preventing breakage also helps prevent waste.
Paper-Based Protection
We use paper cushioning and paper buffering materials where suitable, replacing bubble wrap where we can.
Reused Packaging Materials
Clean supplier packaging may be reused where suitable, including boxes, paper fill and protective materials. Your parcel may sometimes look a little different because of this.
Recycled Packing Tape
We use recycled packing tape as part of our effort to reduce unnecessary new materials.
Right-Sized, Careful Packing
We choose packaging suitable to the item size where possible and pack carefully to reduce breakages, returns and replacement waste.
Business Waste & Recycling
We recycle nearly all suitable business waste on premises, including paper, cardboard, metal, plastic, plastic film, glass, batteries and food waste.
Safe and usable damaged stock may be donated to local charity shops where possible. Fully damaged, unsafe, unusable and non-recyclable items are disposed of only when there is no better option.
Customer Recycling Guidance
Please recycle or reuse our packaging where possible. Cardboard and paper fill can usually be recycled depending on your local council rules. Please check local recycling guidance for tape, plastic film and mixed materials.
Our Progress
We already use reduced plastic where possible, paper cushioning, reused packaging, recycled tape, business recycling, charity donations, greener digital working and supplier policy checks. Next, we want better product-level claim records, more recycled or FSC packaging options, more clearance and donation routes, and more packaging reduction.
